They flop. We don’t.I hate how every high stick is a flop even if legit
It is, but there was at least 2-3 calls that should have been made against the Isles that were not in the last few minutes.I mean that's a penalty.
Look at Lauzon non call high stick where it had more force to it... and then that McaVoy one... definitely embellishment... and it got him the callSo was the embellishment.
Whoa! Haven't heard that name in quite a while....JulE6 levels of pathetic from the refs that period.
Ice should be "better" (relatively speaking)Maybe obvious, maybe not
is a power play split across two periods “diminished”? Ie the odds of scoring reduced if the period break is in the middle? I assume yes, tried googling to see if the stats backed it up, couldn’t fine it
He used to be decent but has become more and more a font of inanity over the years.I have to ask...I’m not a huge hockey fan but I love the playoffs so I don’t have a ton of exposure to hockey announcers but......is Pierre McGuire the worst announcer in all of sports?
I watch these games and legitimately think I know more about hockey than him
Depends on the split. Fresh ice is good.Maybe obvious, maybe not

I think it was more like Imgran or kitchikinet, but I’ll let it go.Whoa! Haven't heard that name in quite a while....
They’re all in Nassau Coliseum tonight.I’m 51 years old, lived in the Northeast my entire life, and I’ll talk hockey with any mammal with a heartbeat, and I don’t think I’ve ever met an Islander fan.
I laughed a lotJulE6 levels of pathetic from the refs that period.
Hopefully for the last time. They’re all in Nassau Coliseum tonight.

Agree but any Bs retaliation is drawing an arm. Totally unfair but that's the "standard".So was the embellishment.
I’m saying that they should have called the embellishment as well.Look at Lauzon non call high stick where it had more force to it... and then that McaVoy one... definitely embellishment... and it got him the call
This is totally a Bomb-maker’s comment.Hopefully for the last time.
I married one. God help me.I’m 51 years old, lived in the Northeast my entire life, and I’ll talk hockey with any mammal with a heartbeat, and I don’t think I’ve ever met an Islander fan.
I think it must be the smallest fan base or close to it, geographically speaking. Mostly restricted to LI/Queens, and doesn’t really extend beyond that. I live in northern NJ and work in Manhattan (in normal times) and easily know/see more Boston gear on the average day. Even the Mets/Jets fans I know are more likely to have the Rangers as their hockey team.I’m 51 years old, lived in the Northeast my entire life, and I’ll talk hockey with any mammal with a heartbeat, and I don’t think I’ve ever met an Islander fan.
It doesn’t work that way.Boston - NY now tied 4-4 collectively with about 1/3 of each game to go.
Lupica will probably have a column up about itIt doesn’t work that way.
Hah. Her family had season tickets growing up during the Islanders glory days. She doesn’t really follow them now. And thank god we don’t live in LI.What section is she in?
Seems ripe to convert her to being a Bruins fan.Hah. Her family had season tickets growing up during the Islanders glory days. She doesn’t really follow them now. And thank god we don’t live in LI.
