Red Sox aren't done. Boone will leave someone in too long.
It's a little tricky, it's hard to know if guys just don't have it under these conditions. Not sure if they can still leave in Ottavino given how long this inning has been, maybe Kahnle gets another shot.

"the internal clock". You mean he didn't notice that Sanchez wasn't running hard?

I am going to cease my 1978 analogies next month but this is what Boston did to the Yankees in June of 1978. They humiliated the Yanks and left them for dead. So I am still reluctant to bury a Boston team that seems to have lost its swagger.

I'm not drawing any conclusions but NY still (hopefully) has some serious internal upgrades coming, Betances, Stanton, Severino, German should be back this week.

Not Severino. More soreness discovered. Cashman now thinks late August.

Like taking Judge out for Tauchman. Save his legs.

So, if we win we will be 54-28.

Crazy stat...The 98 team had 80 wins before they had 29 losses

Wow, nasty change on 1-0 to Mookie, they have changed something about this place today because breaking stuff is moving much better than yesterday.

After a 6-9 start, so 48-19 since then.

11 pitch inning for Kahnle, BOS looks ready to go home after that 9 run inning.
Maybe JD Martinez can take his iPad out and put weights on the bat to show everyone how to hit like last year.

I think so much of baseball is knowing routines. First time in a new stadium for both teams is almost unprecedented. But players adjust.

NY's HR streak in danger of ending, would be funny if it was in a game they scored double figures.

By the way, Bogaerts is out, Nunez is at SS now. Yankee fans have seen that film before.

Boone could use Hale and try to not use all his top guys, but there is another off day tomorrow.
