I know the actual games don't matter to your pre-determined position, but you should realize other people here actually watch them. I mean, if you don't want to come off like a dick or anything.
It’s not great using him twice in a day but they are not getting any innings from their starters which puts them in these situations night in and night out.
Hard to believe no one else was available / Pivetta wasn't trusted there. It's a DH game 2, whatever if Pivetta blows up.
If I'm Cash, I'm aggravated. No one warming and he couldn't find the plate. Let him throw some more pitches and burn him for Monday.
I mean, it's kinda just conventional wisdom, right? You sometimes worry about pitching a guy three out of four games. I'd definitely worry about an old closer warming up twice and pitching twice, especially on a nasty, cool night.
That being said, I have no numbers
Jansen hasn't been stellar as of late, factor in the weather and his age and it might not have been the wisest choice. Sure hindsight, but you may have lost him for the next two games now.
In his 5 outings since his St. Louis implosion, he hasn't given up a hit or run.
Did people want Joely there? Because he was the only option if they didn’t want to use a guy who pitched in game 1.
4 innings with 4 bb and 1 k. Not great.
(oops, didn’t add in todays game. 5 innings, 4 bb and 4 k.
Better defense in game one might have saved at least on pitcher from that first game.
