Thursday night's thread was inspired by a song and it paid off. Some here subscribe to the idea that Bloom has his sights set toward 2024 as the year that this team makes its big move. I happen to be one of those people, so with that in mind lets me take you back to 1974, a year when the Sox won 84 games. It's a number that some here felt manageable for this season's team and the following season they won 95 games and found themselves in the '75 World Series. Coincidence....I choose to think not. Gotta get to Glasgow early and get right back into that pen. Not just to benefit tonight's game, but to hopefully influence the next two. A couple of thoughts when looking at these lineups. Defensively Reyes @ SS > than Kike', Valdez @ 2nd < Reyes, but Valdez bat > Kike'. Wongers > than McGuire on both sides of the plate and I would prefer that the last game's DH was this game's 1st baseman. On the Rays side, no Wander FN Franco.

It’s the cringey kind of line I should shun,
but I must post before game two’s begun.)
