Jose Gonzalez gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits, a walk, and a hit by pitch over five frames; striking out two. Nick Duron gave up a single and a walk while getting two outs – one by K – in his first rehab appearance. Both runners came in to score as Jose "Broken Down Mercedes" Bens made his professional debut a memorable one by walking all three batters he faced. Luis Rivero came in and quelled the threat with a fly out, then went three more scoreless innings, relinquishing one hit and whiffing a trio.

Alejandro Crisostomo was clubbed for five runs on four hits, three walks, and a wild pitch over 1 2/3 innings; whiffing one. Ronald Gutierrez came in with the bases juiced and gave up a single, a walk, and a hit by pitch before getting the final out of the eighth (and leaving the bases full of his own runners.) Erison Medina surrendered two runs on a walk, a wild pitch, and a Ronaldo Paulino round tripper in his professional debut; striking out one in the ninth.
