Otto and Sawamua throws nearly half the pitches Eo threw to get 4 outs.
Literally 58 pitches (going back to Eovaldi's last pitches in the 8th) to get the last four outs. 58! That is astonishing. That pen needs a break. Gotta throw some of the lefties next game even though the Yanks R heavy ...

Were people forgetting the three-batter minimum when they were blaming Cora for not removing Sawamura earlier?
That rule seems to be one of the most impactful of the new commissioner's reign.

I was driving from the Cape to CT last night during the entire game. I listened to the Sox network until around Clinton, CT when I had to switch over to the Fan. Sterling and Suzy couldn’t stop hating on Sawamura. First it was his pace (“MLB needs to have a pitch clock.”). Then it was “I can’t understand why they are leaving him in!”
Finally about halfway thru his third batter, Susan said “ohhhh, the three batter rule.”
