I think one of our other two first baseman probably get to the ball there and not necessarily get the out but save the extra base.

It feels like every time one of our players hits a sharp ground ball to the pull side it gets fielded easily. Unless it's down the line, it seems like teams position against us perfectly. But our opponents seem routinely to pull balls right through the holes on either side of the infield. Do we play different shifts or is it just some kind of fucked up confirmation bias where I don't remember our pull ground ball hits and remember all of our opponents?

Could have been worse for sure. It Price took it upon himself to “straight up mow down...”

I just saw the Jaguar commercial where the voice over pronounces Jaguar as Jaguar. Do British people also say jaguar when they are talking about the animal or do they say jaguar?

Bat Day - Ask Jim Rice about Bat Day at Yankee Stadium. Some clown stole his hat when he was on the ground after a collision with another player. And then Jim went into the stands to get it back. I'll never forget that game.

Good banter by Eck and OB on bat day. I remember bat day. That was a crazy idea.

I remember in Cleveland they had seat cushion day. And there was a call against the tribe late and nearly everyone threw their crappy Indians seat cushion on the field in protest.

Good stuff.

I think Jim was up against the fence trying to catch a foul pop, but he did indeed go into the stands after the hat snatcher.

Now that was a bat day! Who was the guy with the batting helmet and bat that went into the stands to help Rice. Tarver? 1986 was a magical year.

I mean, the ball didn't even bounce, it just hit the dirt and hovered along the top of it. That's a tough play to make.

Tarver went into the stands with a bat. Rice’s hat was snatched after he banged into Spike Owen and was tending to the SS.
