White Sox send Odrisamer Despaigne to the mound against James Paxton in a 2:10 start. Odrisamer must be somebody’s baby, which continues our Jackson Brown theme for another day. I am running out of Brown songs but we can always Take It Easy against Tampa on Monday.
Despaigne throws from the right side. Made first start with Chicago last week, 3 runs in 6 innings. He is 32 years old, hails from Cuba. Throws 4 pitches, including a slow curve in the 65-mph range. Sounds like a lesser version of El Duque.
Yanks praying that Paxton gets back on track. His last start was ominously bad.

Apologies for the intrusion, but are there singers besides Jackson Browne who routinely won't perform their biggest hit in concert?

Edit:

Hopefully this is the worst lineup NY throws out for the rest of the season. Didi, Sanchez, Hicks all sitting:

2B LeMahieu
1B Voit
SS Torres
DH Frazier
CF Gardner
3B Urshela
RF Tauchman
C Romine
LF Maybin

I think the Scranton lineup might seriously be better today, Judge and Stanton leading 8 former big leaguers.

Yeah wow just came here to say that is an awful lineup. Stay close and pinch hit if needed I guess.

What a nice surprise. I saw the lineup and thought Boone was setting things up to kill Terry's run.

Paxton seems fine and kids are producing. Cool.

Gleyber with the three walks, three runs scored day.

I guess Kahnle and Britton will still take the last two innings here even with the big lead because they haven't pitched in so long?

I'm wrong, David Hale in.

8 RBIs combined from Romine and Gardner, pretty sure we all expected that.

He did get through six innings but he is still not his peak self, although it was nice to see him getting velocity back in the later innings.

OK, they needed those two wins with seven straight against TB and Houston starting tomorrow. Some exciting reinforcements on the way, though...
