We took him from the Yankees in the minor league portion of the Rule V, and he's been great for Worcester. ERA around half a run, 12 and change K/9, a few too many walks but barely any hits.
Wait really, I thought he was a ml guy who had just been around but you are telling me there is a potential second MLB reliever in the pipeline from the Yankees?

Both are true. He's an old guy (29) who has bounced around, including some Independent ball. But he put it together in the Yankees system across three levels in 2019, and then we nabbed him.

Fun stat on the radio - this is the first PH, go-ahead granny since September 2013 when old fish man Mike Carp did it at the Trop.

When Cora pinch hit Santana, I literally googled to see if Arroyo was hurt. I mean, I understand the left/right match up ... but um .... well, Santana. I'm glad Atlanta made the pitching change so Cora could insert an actual major league hitter (or maybe he was baiting them to make the change??). Wow! What a shot!
I thought he was baiting the change from the start.

No wonder baseball managers don't last long. I couldn't do it.
I'm just a fan and I lose it sometimes. I can't even imagine having a really high-paid, high-profile job hanging in the balance based on my instant decisions and the results of these players. How on earth do they look so calm? How do they not punch anyone or anything?
