CC makes another attempt to win his 250th, but it won't be easy. Lucas Giolito will be going for his 10th victory of the season, and to say he's been on a roll would be an understatement. While it is nice to see young players start to reach their potential, let's hope Giolito has to wait for another start before he hits 10

Besides, he's just Gio. We have GIO. Go Yankees.

First time NY has lost 7 of 10 since July 2017, every other team has done so since then.

Will YES cut in on the Scranton game to show Judge and Stanton batting?
Austin Pruitt (who has been on TB on and off the past three seasons) struck them both out in the 1st, but so cool to see them getting close.

And now Durham is winning 8-0 in the 2nd, they were evidently not amused by all the Judge/Stanton hype coming in.

Yeah, I can't really watch CC starts, have yet to turn this one on.

Meanwhile, Blake Snell has been quietly ordinary so far this season, knocked out in the 4th just now and a 3.70 ERA for the year (and responsible for the two baserunners still on), LAA up 3-0.

OK, let's get Giolito's pitch count up a little at least, Clint starts us off with a bloop single.

Seems like Giolito looks good enough tonight that it probably doesn't matter that CC didn't have it. Even when he looks solid, CC is going to give up a few runs or three. Hate to see the big man go through this though. We know his knee is shot.

Sadly, Yanks are so short of starting pitchers, they can’t put CC on the IL. Cashman has to trade for one soon, right? With Judge and Stanton returning, Clint Frazier is no longer needed. Gotta trade him and a stud prospect for a quality starter. And then hope Severino can return by August.
