No, it's not that, their options tomorrow, assuming CC activated for Cortes Jr., behind CC are:

Kahnle, Ottavino, Britton or Chapman for a third straight game which they don't like doing, but there is an offday Monday and they were well rested coming in. But still...

Green or Holder for the second straight day, again not ideal.

Cessa and Hale.
It will be Cessa and Hale. The series is won. You don’t bury Boston on June 2.

Also I didn’t want to say it at the time to jinx it, but you know you have a good bullpen when a HR in the bottom of the 5th feels like a walkoff.

Interestingly, the Sox' bullpen has been lights out in these last two games. All of the damage was done vs their starters.

Used to have the same feeling 20 years ago. How does this bullpen stack up to Mendoza, Nelson, Stanton and Mo? Am I missing someone from that crew?

Graeme Lloyd was in there at one point, those guys never seemed to give up leads but this team has four other guys (including Betances) who could be closer if Chapman went out.

This is a great Sox team and it's fun right now to win these games but I'm not fooled for a second. Too much talent on that team, they're gonna be right there in the end.
