Romeo and, to a lesser degree Nesmith, have had good series relative to their regular seasons. So there's that.

Celtics are not playing all that well but at the same time I get that it's demoralizing that the Nets are out their with their C game and they are coasting to victory.

So Tatum blocks a Durant three, and Romeo bitch slaps a Harden shot off the court.

JB, JT, TL, Romeo and Smart would have been fun to watch defend the Nets

They really are playing like it’s a pickup game while the Celtics are working extremely hard on every possession.

I realize Parker may not have been healthy at beginning of year, but he is SO much better than the dreck they had at bench wing coming into season it's really a shame they didn't address depth earlier. He's no world-beater but he's a competent NBA player with a semi-plus skill (scoring). Think about all the minutes they gave Javonte, Grant as a wing, etc. early on. Uggh

Every time I convince friends that the NBA is really good and that they should watch along, they're always driven away by the officiating. Even when I don't say anything, they ask some version of 'are they always this bad?'

He;s not a wing... he's a PF. He's also the worst defender on our team, worse than Fournier.

Celts are going to take the lead at some point. Whether they can hold it after their run is another story, but this game will get interesting - despite Mike and Scal discussing Nets-Bucks

Watch.The.Games.

You argued he was not worth the roster spot---that's preposterously wrong. You argued they couldn't use the 30th pick. That's preposterously wrong. You argued they had sufficient wing depth. That's preposterously wrong. Watch more, talk less.

If this Nets team can’t put away Tatum, the ghost of Smart, and the Red Claws, I’m pulling out all my retirement money under the 60-day rule to bet it on the Bucks.

What am I missing? Why did Smart get free throws for an offensive foul on Durant?

I'm not a huge Marcus fan, but that is still quite a take.....
It's based on two things...
1. I think he's going to be Marcus' equal as a defender soon, and possibly better against quick guards (but worse on PF switches, but I think the quick guards matter more) because he's showed a lot already and Marcus seems to be losing the top end twitchiness
2. I think he'll improve his shooting a bit, and he can get to the rim, while I think Marcus is not going to regain the 3pt shooting highs of a few years ago.

In the bonus. All fouls are shooting fouls once you commit enough of them.

I watch plenty. He's not very good. I admit, he was better than I expected and I've admitted that he's been much better than he had been previous stops.
I stand by the 30th pick, your argument for using it was dumb and based on knowledge of future things that would happen.

No, they aren't. Learn the rules. offensive fouls are never shooting fouls, they called a loose ball fouls. It is not all fouls.

Strange call, but KD passed the ball a split second before charging into Smart. Theoretically, the ball was loose when the foul occurred.

I don’t remember ever seeing that play called that way before

Celtics in the bonus

I made the exact argument at the time that ended up happening. That is, literally by definition, not based on knowledge of future things.

Romeo can make an extra $50mm in his career if he spends the entire offseason lifting and shooting corner 3s.
