I’m starting this game thread for the slim chance I become the next Cabrera Era and so I can vent about the Celtics.

Honestly, I wasn’t a big Celtics fan growing up in Boston. My interest came and went as the team got better or worse. However, my friend got a job at the garden around 2014 while I had just got an apartment on the green line. I got a few discounted tickets, and started to really like the young Celtics team that battled hard, despite a complete lack of stars, especially after the Rondo trade.

I decided to join the "waiting list" for season tickets in spring of 2018 when they were fighting for the top of the East with a shot at the number one overall pick. I also wanted to impress the girl I was dating at the time; that didn’t work out, but I got my tickets later that summer.

My first event that fall was the infamous preseason tip-off where Kyrie told all of us he wanted to stay.

There is no virtue in staying a place you don’t want to be, but in a league where roster moves need to be threaded through the smallest of needles eyes, Kyrie’s deception derailed Ainge and Zarren’s roster building process. I still take that personally.

I’m under no illusions of winning three in a row against what is certainly the best collection of talent in the NBA, but losing 4-3 or even 4-2 seems far more palatable than 4-1, which basketball media have inanely termed a gentleman’s sweep. I’ll also relish any opportunity to boo 11 one more time, because we all know he’ll avoid playing here again in the regular season, much like he still avoids Cleveland.

Go C’s!

Wow, I’m not one to complain about refs but they completely ignored the obvious backcourt violation when Harden hadn’t yet established himself in the frontcourt prior to accepting Durants pass.

The C's lack of rim protection has never been more apparent.

Smart coming back to Earth. TT getting stripped left and right.

Love the lay-ups though.

If nothing else, the experience Romeo is gaining with Kemba out should be really beneficial

tnt instead of showing a replay of what looked like a pretty questionable foul call is rehashing 2 years ago

That foul on Fournier is a huge part of what's wrong with the game.

If Kemba got that call every night, he'd average 5 more free throw attempts a game. ONLY Harden gets that call with regularity.

Unless the sideline reporter hasn't been vaccinated, is it really necessary for him to wear a mask?

Luka might be getting to his level

If Fournier's going to be a crappy defender, he has to do it without fouling. Jesus.

Good to know getting hit in the face both doesn't get you a foul call and gets you a "bullshit" chant for being hurt from the crowd

Tristan is absolutely getting manhandled by multiple guys every time he goes for an offensive board.

No calls.
