What’s worse? Miami is better or tougher? This team is a fucking embarrassment

The defense just isn't there, and the team play really isn't either.

The Heat have had tons of health issues this year.

It's insane how reluctant people are to criticise Stevens in any way, even if just partially.
Agreed. I am a big Stevens fan generally and don't think he should be fired. But there is no getting around that this year's team has failed to come together, failed to play defense consistently, and has never figured out how to close games. He has to be accountable for that at some level.

Gotta believe Charlotte is absolutely chomping at the bit to face the C's in the 7-8 game.

nobody should escape close scrutiny this offseason. Danny, Brad, or ANYONE on the roster. All levels of the organization deserve the criticism coming their way.

I don’t understand why they’re so bad.
My pet theory is that the celts don't have a super star. They succeed (against good teams) only when the top 6 or so play well. Hence, one injury makes a big difference. And with the hard play the celts are supposed to engage in, injuries are more likely to happen. So it is a setup that can break easily.

They allowed 79 first half points in a must win game at home

Nesmith 19mins and 16pts...rarely gets a play run for him. just maybe he could get real minutes with JB out
Going with Edwards instead of Nesmith, with four minutes left in the third, with the lead cut to 12 and Miami struggling to score, was a big fail by Stevens.

But yeah, it’s things outside his control. Not on him.

I got disgusted a couple times during the game and fast forwarded my dvr.

Did Williams get injured again or just plain wasn't effective and never came back in?

And when was the last time except in garbage time you saw a NBA team with 3 guys that small on the court (Kemba, Carson, PP)?

Nesmith has hustled his azz off, while the rest of the ancillary players have loafed around pretty much all season.

You live with guys like that (that have his size/shooting stroke)

Time Lord was declared OUT at halftime. Don't know if he re-injured his toe or if, down by 250 points, the C's simply decided to save him for Tuesday.

Say what you want about Brad, he waits until the last possible moment to give up on games. Or to even empty his bench when they are up big.

I think it insane to look at all the factors impacting the Celts this year and put it all on CBS.
There’s a big difference between putting it all on Brad and hedging as to whether he deserves ANY blame. I mean come on here.
Also Spoelstra put Stevens in a clown suit in the playoffs last year and thoroughly out coached him today. Pretending like they are in the same tier of coaching or that Spo would be in the exact same situation as Brad is ludicrous. Give Spoelsrea the credit that he’s earned. He’s a fantastic coach and is a level above Brad

You're arguing a point I never put forth. I mean come in here!!!!

I've posted a few gazillion times there's enough blame to go around including some for Brad, but think firing him off of this year, would be a mistake.

And I gave Spoelstra credit, he's a very good coach, but I have my doubts he'd do much better than CBS has done this year given similar circumstances.

Sounds like a coach that is super dialed in. Can’t believe they can’t figure things out with this leader of men at the helm.

Not a good sign when your coach - who's supposed to know the team inside and out - says "for whatever reason"
