I like it. And will accept.A game thread is the perfect place to share this meaningless hot take: the Sox are talented but not always focused on executing the little things, so they'll play to the level of their competition...playing worse against the bad teams and their best against the good teams. Let's keep winning and show that they can beat anyone.
The Central had three playoff teams last seasonit’s crazy that the ALC probably has 2-3 teams that would be in the mix in the ALE this season.
They DID all get to play the worst team in 100 years like 2 dozen times. The Central had three playoff teams last season
The point is, people might well have underestimated how good the teams actually were because of the White Sox angle. People shouldn't be surprised that they're playing well again in comparison to an ALEast that has three teams in a funk and the Red Sox teeteringThey DID all get to play the worst team in 100 years like 2 dozen times.
Granted we've managed a losing record to that very same team but nevertheless...
Detroit is legit this season. The point is, people might well have underestimated how good the teams actually were because of the White Sox angle. People shouldn't be surprised that they're playing well again in comparison to an ALEast that has three teams in a funk and the Red Sox teetering
And no McDonald's after the game!Sit Devers till he learns how to be a team player.
At first I was skeptical, but I’m coming around to your way of thinking. Sign me up.Why mess up a good thing? Let's keep winning instead of losing. I think it's more fun.
This is a Devers /1B free zone. Performance in a game, fine. Other stuff, main board.Sit Devers till he learns how to be a team player.

Which is why I would expect Cora to give him a day off.Wasn't he 2/3 with a walk, 2 RBI, and a run scored yesterday?
If I post about it here, can I get banned from the main board? This is a Devers /1B free zone. Performance in a game, fine. Other stuff, main board.
Sure. Living in Arkansas is punishment enough. If I post about it here, can I get banned from the main board?
Sorry.Of course.
You're exempt.Sorry.
Posted right before I saw the Devers declaration.
Hoping for a run of several Boston wins over the next few days in multiple sports.
Go Sox
Does the stadium back when it used to have that old astro-turf leading to the sox getting tripled to death and seemingly go 0-the 1980s count?I'm probably missing someone obvious, but I dont *think* I've ever "hated" a player on the Royals.
I will defend to the death your right to have and express such an inane opinion.Sit Devers till he learns how to be a team player.
Jose Offerman?I'm probably missing someone obvious, but I dont *think* I've ever "hated" a player on the Royals.
Johnny Damon?I'm probably missing someone obvious, but I dont *think* I've ever "hated" a player on the Royals.
Huh. This is a good topic. I've been thinking about this for a few minutes and still can't come up with anyone.I'm probably missing someone obvious, but I dont *think* I've ever "hated" a player on the Royals.
Yeah, the thing with the pine tar really endeared the whole organization to me.I've actually always kinda liked the Royals. George Brett, Quisenberry (I have his book of poetry!), Willie Wilson, Greinke, Salvador Perez. Love Bobby Witt.
Way way back in a former life, I dealt with a fair number of MLB players. Brett was an absolutely great guy, fun to have a beer and talk baseball with.Royals are my #2 team--big George Brett fan and college classmate of their current manager--but, please beat the crap out of them.
I love to hear this because it is exactly what he seems like. Plus, man I don't think I've ever seen anyone as mad on a baseball field as he was in the pine tar incident and I simultaneously get it and find footage of it so endlessly funny.Way way back in a former life, I dealt with a fair number of MLB players. He's a Stevie Ray fan.But did Devers fly to TX to complain? I don't get the TX soil part.
Just thinking of the expression on his face when he was called out still cracks me up.I love to hear this because it is exactly what he seems like. I can't think of anyone. Plus great uniforms and a great stadium.I'm probably missing someone obvious, but I dont *think* I've ever "hated" a player on the Royals.
UL died last year. The autopsy found dozens of toothpicks had ripped apart his digestive system. My all time favorite Royal. Toothpick in the box was badass! And probably very stupid.

It's tremendous. And one of the few examples of the umps screwing up so badly a protest was upheld, and since it turned a HR into the final out of the game, they had to finish the game weeks later. Peak baseball.I love to hear this because it is exactly what he seems like.
