Holobetz finished the inning. I would be pretty shocked if he came back out. So probably final line:
5 IP, 4 runs (1 ER), 3 hits, 0 bb, 4 k
76 pitches, 50 strikes (65.8%)
Kind of a mixed bag. Probably comfortable with him around 50ish in the system for now?
Dalton Rogers threw 55 pitches (34 strikes) in 1.2 innings...1 ER, 1 hit, 3 bb, 3 k.
Matt McShane came in with the bases loaded & 2 outs in the 7th & got out of that inning, & pitched 2 more scoreless innings...1 hit, 0 bb, 4 k.
McShane made it into my top 60 at #57 in my last rankings update a week ago, & he made it into SP's at #59 today (right behind the guy he came in for, Dalton Rogers). We may both be criminally low on McShane at this point.
In 21.2 innings across Salem & Greenville, he has allowed 1 ER (0.42 ERA), 14 hits (.177 BA, 0.83 WHIP), 4 bb (1.66 bb/9) & 29 k (12.2 k/9).
McShane does not turn 23 until November, so he's not particularly old for these levels, especially Greenville where his line since being called up is 7.1 IP, 0 runs, 4 hits, 0 bb, 9 k.
White 3-4, hr
AA 2-5, 2b, 3 rbi
Ehrhard 2-5, 2b
Alcantara 2-4, 2b
Brannon 1-4, 2b, sb, cs
Lugo 1-4, 2b
Nelly T 0-3, 2 bb
Mild concern:
Yophery 0-4, bb. Avg. down to .179 with Greenville, OPS down to .682. He has walked (21) more times than he has struck out (19), though & seems to generally be the victim of his .206 BABIP. Going to guess he breaks out pretty soon. In his last 6 games he is 0-23 with 4 bb & 4 k...meaning he is 0-19 on balls in play which is pretty wild.
Larger concern:
Naz 0-4, hbp, 3 k. Zanetello lacks the BABIP excuse. He is riding a .388 BABIP to a .210 BA & .684 OPS. He has 50 strikeouts in 122 PAs (41.0%)...which is a full 25% higher than Yophery.
