Having to use Barnes for 5 outs (and it feels iffy he'll manage to do it) while scoring 10 runs qualifies as a failure.

Need a grounder from Mr. Slow

If I was Matt Barnes, it’d be really hard for me not to bully the other relievers on the team. Like, “I’ll bail you out of your jam but it’s gonna cost you your lunch money.”

Great outcome. They score a couple and bring in Whitlock. Don't and Barnes only threw a couple so apart from sitting it no big deal.

Miggy was at -.6 fwar already. He has "earned" negative money and been paid over $120 million the past 4 years. 2 more years after this one and two vesting option years. One of the worst contracts in sports history.

It's always tough to see the Great Ones fade in baseball. No doubt HOF player. Pujols has been hanging on too with the Angels. You just want to pay attention to their AB's though; you never know when they will be gone all of a sudden.
I know it was a different time but Teddy popping 29 bombs at 41 is wild.

This guy isn’t fooling anyone.

Kurt Gibson just said "poor block" about Vasquez on that wild pitch during the Tigers broadcast. Fuck you Gibby, it bounced sideways.
He's not wrong. Vaz tried catching the ball cleanly. As early as little league, coaches teach their catchers not to try to catch balls in the dirt. You turn your glove over, drop to your knees like a goalie in hockey and make your body into a wall. You do that because, well, the ball sometimes bounces sideways, and your only job at that point is to keep the ball in front of you and the runners from advancing.
