Sea Dogs give up a three run lead, lose to Hartford 5-4.

Mike Shawaryn surrendered five runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks over 5 2/3 frames; striking out three and uncorking a wild pitch. Four of the five runs relinquished came in his final 1 2/3 innings pitched. Jordan Weems went the final 2 1/3 innings, giving up three hits while striking out two. Weems came in with two on and two out in the sixth, giving up a hit which brought in the winning run.

Cole Sturgeon stung two singles and a double in four sessions. Danny Mars mashed two doubles in four matchups. Tate Matheny and Jhon Nunez each notched a single in four jaunts. Jeremy Rivera ripped a three-run homer in five at-bats. Austin Rei reached twice in four appearances via a walk and a hit by pitch. Nick Lovullo, Josh Ockimey, and Josh Tobias each had four frustrating forays.

William Cuevas tossed six scoreless frames, giving up three hits and a walk while striking out four. Williams Jerez struck out the only two batters he got out, yielding three runs on four hits and a wild pitch in his 24 pitch appearance. Kyle Martin got four quick outs, whiffing a pair. Ryan Brasier allowed a run on three hits in the ninth, striking out two.

Jeremy Barfield belted a single and a double while drawing a walk in four jaunts. Mike Ohlman and Ramon Flores each flipped a pair of hits in two matchups; Flores with a double, Ohlman with a pair of moonshots. Chad De La Guerra golfed a single in four tries. Jordan Betts bashed a double in five at-bats. Mike Olt obtained three free passes in five attempts. Ivan De Jesus walked twice and was caught stealing once in five treks. Aneury Tavarez walked once and stole a base in four appearances. Rusney Castillo struck out twice in five futile forays.

Dominic LoBrutto could not gain even a single out, allowing four runs (three earned) on a hit, two walks, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch. Angel Padron pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, allowing an unearned run on five hits, a hit by pitch, a wild pitch, and an intentional walk; whiffing a trio.

C.J. Chatham and and Zach Sterry each contributed two hits in four sessions; Sterry with a double (and was picked off). Everlouis Lozada laced two singles and drew a walk in five excursions. Isaias Lucena lined a single and drew a walk in four appearances. Kervin Suarez and Marino Campana each collected a hit in four treks; Campana with a grand slam, Suarez with a stolen base. Cole Brannen and Victor Acosta each accumulated a hit in five ventures; Acosta with a double. Ricardo Cubillan earned a free pass amid three hitless trips.

Jake Thompson tossed the first five innings, allowing three runs on two walks and six hits – including roundtrippers from Rhett Wiseman and Juan Soto – while striking out five. Hildemaro Requena relinquished three singles in his three clean innings. Jared Oliver only obtained one out in the ninth, allowing four runs on two walks, a single, and a Carter Keiboom grand slam. Matt Gorst was able to get the final two outs, giving up a single and striking out one.

Kyri Washington and Santiago Espinal each crushed three hits in five excursions; Espinal with a double, Washington with a Mookie – a 3-run bomb in the second, a solo shot in the sixth and another solo blast in the eighth.
