Rays have second-half pitching reinforcements coming in DeLeon, Honeywell, Banda and Mckay. Mckay also DHs but his bat seems to be lagging his arm. Glasnow will be returning, too. Nate Lowe and Solak are AAA bats who will probably see time later this year. Arroyo just got called up and is going to get a good look now. Wendle and Duffy should be back over the summer. Zunino should be back very soon. The talent pipeline is chock full. I could see them surprising people and signing Keuchel or Kimbrel if those guys would take a big pro-rated one year deal. Their payroll is ~60m right now with one of the best teams in the league and a loaded farm. So even though they are the Rays, they have some money to throw around on short-term contracts (a la Morton).

Morales running out of time in pinstripes, Didi will likely bump him to DFA since he will need a 40 man spot too.

Well, Sale had a lot of strikeouts but isn't throwing very hard.

And does Happ lead the league in home runs allowed?

Is he not the best damn player we could have picked up this offseason? Jesus did we undersell how important he would be.

Just walked in the door. I see Happ has only given up one HR so far and DJ is doing what DJ does.

I'll take some more of that please.

Interesting move taking Happ out. I get it. but it's the 6th.
I like it. I think getting him out on a positive note in a big game is a good thing. Especially against a rival that has been hitting well lately. Happ can keep building on a start like this.

Edit: I type really slow on my phone. What JA said.

The bullpen is really well rested, this is a game I don’t mind using all four top guys if needed.

Suzyn keeps saying this is just how Boone wants it. $10 says Boone would rather be using Luis Cessa with a 14-1 lead right now.

I get it, just hate going to the bullpen for 4 innings
Well, if you've got a deep bullpen, use it. Sale is up to nearly 110 pitches. I hope he throws 150.

This is the first time in quite awhile that I've been forced to watch a Yankee game on NESN. So, if Eckersley colors his hair, why doesn't he dye his moustache the same color?

Going back to pulling Happ, Kahnle and Britton and Chapman haven't pitched since Monday, so they all kind of needed to get into a game.
