Daniel McGrath surrendered two runs on four hits and a walk over two innings; whiffing one. Travis Lakins walked one and struck out two in his seventh inning appearance. Josh Taylor gave up two hits and a walk in two scoreless innings; whiffing a pair. Jordan Weems allowed two unearned runs on a walk and a wild pitch in the tenth; striking out two.

Jhon Nunez notched three singles in five jaunts. Jeremy Rivera ripped a double and two singles in six at-bats. Danny Mars delivered two singles, a walk, and a sacrifice bunt in five appearances. Darwinzon Hernandez went three scoreless innings yesterday, giving up a single and a double and uncorking a wild pitch. Daniel Gonzalez gave up three singles in three scoreless frames today; picking up his sixth win. Matt Gorst struck out one in his 1-2-3 seventh; acquiring his seventh save.

Jordan Procyshen and Chris Madera each procured a single in two matchups. Santiago Espinal, C.J. Chatham, and Bobby Dalbec each delivered a hit in three excursions; Dalbec with a double. Tyler Hill walked once in two trips. Jordan Wren had a pair of junky jaunts. Brett Netzer and Jerry Downs each suffered three terrible treks.

So Is Jalen Beeks all smoke and mirrors? Is he a potential ML guy? I don't know much about his profile, but ceiling of a guy like Tanner Roark for the Nats?

He probably ends up in the bullpen but if he keeps this up, he'll get a chance to fail as a starter.
