They’re explaining it pretty well. Huge differential between the change up and four seamer.
And the cameraperson zooming in on the 15th row of the CF bleachers - like it was loooong gone - didn't help!
Casas absolutely destroyed that ball. He's really close. If him and Devers get going at the same time, look out.
In a lot of ways, that last at bat was more impressive to me than a hit would have been. Some excellent takes to draw the walk after going down 0-2 (1-2, maybe?).
This is the first time that I’ve seen Martin look really good, and I gotta say, I like the cut of his jib.
Since his swing change, he’s hit very well in the minors. The thing to explain is why he was so terrible up here last year.
Peraza just came in to pinch run for Rizzo for the Yankees (down 3-2 in the 9th after a bloop caused the left fielder to ruin Bader's night in the top of the 9th). Peraza subsequently got the worst stolen base I have ever seen. He stumbled halfway to second, while the catcher's throw barely made it over the pitcher's mound and took 4 hops to get to second. Peraza still would have been out, except Gimenez put the tag on so hard that the ball came out of his glove and rolled into right field. Also, Peraza rolled his ankle and had to be taken out of the game.
Sadly, his replacement scored on a single to tie the game.
