You cannot max Jaylen after this series. Won’t happen, so he’s probably getting traded.

Tatum is out there trying, obviously not a good game or a healthy one.

Jaylen had a big chance to be the alpha and completely shit the bed. Really, really disappointing performance….no idea what condition his hand is in, etc. but we needed him tonight and he was, literally, the worst player on the court overall

That’s the worst individual game of basketball I’ve ever seen by Brown. 8 turnovers from one player is mind boggling. He is unplayable against the heat.

Tatum, TL and DW all hurt in the same game, Tatum on the first fucking play, and Brogdon already out hurt.

Fuck me.

Moving the Line
At last, the wheel has come full circle. We must endure this unbearability, and we bear it, simply. As Shakespeare once said...parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it morrow.

So depressing. Even with Tatum hurt this team had the talent to beat the Heat. Just bricking 3 after 3 after 3, I mean what the fuck.

Incredible job coming back from 3-0 in this series. Laid an absolute egg at home in game 7. Though the Tatum injury right out of the gate really hurt, obviously. But still...they've just been awful tonight.

8-33 from three
14 turnovers
27-68 from the field (39.7%)

Meanwhile for Miami....

Butler with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists
Martin with 26 points on 11-16 shooting (4-6 from three)
14-28 from three

Miami has only shot 4 free throws and they're blowing Boston out of the building. Unreal.

I said to my son at half time. If you need to win one game a super max second team All NBA should be able to carry you through.
Agree. We don’t have a super max all NBAer though. We have JB who rode media hype to his selection. He’s a chump and why I bailed on this season early on. I feel for the diehards who stuck with him.

They had them right where they wanted them and then decided to pay Celtics basketball.

They needed a strong start and were still hungover from Game 6. Oh well.

Joe probably saved his job in the last three games but everybody will wonder what could have been and White's heroics will be lost to time.

It’s unbelievable really. I think this is the worst game I’ve ever seen him play. He’s been the worst and the only two players that have even attempted to pick him up are White and Rob.
Horford’s done nothing. Smarts been invisible. Grant and Brogdon were shit.

Fuck, this is fucking depressing

He's playing on one fucking leg, how dumb are you?
He's Superman!

Last year was the mysterious bum shoulder that didn't require surgery - but he made sure to stretch it every 30 seconds with a look of pure pain!

I assume there will be blood on his sock at the end of this game. But unlike last time there was a bloody sock, he'll come up small again.

I forget, did he roll his ankle at halftime of game 6? Because that's when things got awfully tight.

Well I think that’s the problem. He just cannot play with the ball in his hands initiating the offense. Incredible straight line driver, great midrange shooter, and up to this season a good three point shooter. He just isn’t a guy that can bring the ball up and initiate offense and with Tatum hurt he’s trying too much and we see what the result is. JB is what he is, and a guy who can lead an offense in a game like this he is not.

This is it. Tatum’s usage since then has been like next to nothing. Don’t tell me this isn’t a different game if Tatum can move out there.
This is true but the rest of the team needs to step up. We’ve played several teams in the playoffs who won without their best on the court.

Jaylen and Jimmy were both second team NBA.

It’s a shame because the finals will be unwatchable. Jokić will embarrass Bam and Murray Jimmy

It’s a game where no one, save Derrick White, showed up big.

Tatum was clearly hurt and couldn’t do it. If you judge him for that, ok, but I wouldn’t’

Jaylen absolutely no-showed.

Smart failed to step up, as he is capable of, given the need

Brogdon had only a couple minutes (should have had more) and didn’t show it.

No one stepped up. They played like Tatum could put up 51 and when he could not—-no one else (save White) showed more.

This is just as bad of a take as the guy saying Tatum is faking it

Game 7 in 2010 was worse by a lot.
That was road at least and against a very legit team. The stakes made it awful, of course. This is the Bruins bending over against St Louis. These two franchises have been so fucking disappointing at home. Makes no goddamn sense.
