Could be a fun one today. Paddack and Paxton are both pretty good, though Paxton should be limited in his pitch count. I think we'll find out pretty early if Paxton is fully recovered or not. The Padres have some power but aren't especially good at getting on base. If Paxton is on, there should be plenty of missed bats. If not, a few balls could be going over the fence. Lots to watch for.

Today's lineups are below. Sanchez sits.

1. Wil Myers (R) LF
2. Franmil Reyes (R) DH
3. Manny Machado (R) SS
4. Eric Hosmer (L) 1B
5. Hunter Renfroe (R) RF
6. Ty France (R) 3B
7. Ian Kinsler (R) 2B
8. Austin Hedges (R) C
9. Manuel Margot (R) CF

1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
2. Luke Voit (R) DH
3. Kendrys Morales (S) 1B
4. Gleyber Torres (R) SS
5. Brett Gardner (L) CF
6. Clint Frazier (R) RF
7. Gio Urshela (R) 3B
8. Cameron Maybin (R) LF
9. Austin Romine (R) C

35 pitches for Paxton through 2, he probably has a pitch count around 75 today.

Paddack

175 Batters Before Today: 4 HR
First 7 Yankees Batters Today: 3 HR

All four of the previous ones were by lefties, NY's were all by righties.

I’m not home but I see that the much mourned Adam Warren got 4 outs in 46 pitches.

Holder gets the win, so dumb.

Nice to rest the top relievers except Ottavino too, very good win.

8 is correct, I was wrong before. The 1998 one is the only time NY has won 9 straight series in the divisional era, I believe.
