Someone tell the offense that Lose isn't in attendance tonight so they can go back to hitting baseballs.

This feels a little more important than the usual regular season game - it will determine the head to head tiebreaker if needed. Could make or break the season at the end, hitters!

Looks like Angels have a day off tomorrow then are staying home against Miami. So not much need for getaway, gotta maximize those ticket sales!

At 5:15, I’m posting and I'm feeling blue.
I did not Bargain on using songs from The Who.
I Can’t Explain what’s up with the Red Sox. I swear
they can’t score Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere.
Though The Kids Are Alright, out West they look weaker.
They’re searching for answers. (Me too. I’m The Seeker.)
It’s Hard to watch lately. I keep searching for Zen.
I keep telling myself I Won’t Get Fooled Again –
they’ll start Getting in Tune, hit the ball on the screws,
and bring an end to these early Summertime Blues.
I’m a Boy

is seeing things happening, so Let’s See Action!
There’s no Substitute for an offensive attack.
Give me doubles or triples or one Happy Jack.
Just swing Pure and Easy when a pitch comes at you.
(You’re not Pinball Wizards. Don’t stand like a statue.)
Who Are You? You’re the Sox! By my calculation,
you’re heroes to more than just My Generation.
Join Together
and play like a winning franchise.
I am tired of watching from Behind Blue Eyes.

Didn’t someone post in the game thread once that the Red Sox refuse a lot of early start times at Fenway, so other teams don’t do it for them.

Why do they need an early start time today? They have tomorrow off (so do the Angels) and it's barely a one hour flight to Phoenix.

So kids and the elderly in New England get to watch one of the games before they fall asleep. Of course, the way the Sox haven't hit makes me feel better about missing most of the two games so far. (Houck kept me awake by amazing with wonderfulness. I hope Paxton does the same.)

What comes after speechless? That's what I am.

(I also have a soft spot for "Lets See Action," as that might have been playing the first time I combined pot and headphones.)

West coast teams have fanbases of their own. When scheduling their home games they take their own fans into account more than the visitors, as they should.
What would be the response if some Angels fan demanded last month that the Fenway series should've all started at 9PM EST so they would have a chance to get home from work in time for first pitch?

Next weekend, there will be games @ 7:15 and 4. Somehow the Arizona fans are not destroyed by that. And before you say, But those are on the weekend, I reply that last Saturday's game began around 10 pm Eastern time. But this Saturday, it's on Fox, and presumably they want me to watch.

So you DO want some home games vs. West coast teams to start at 9PM?

I’m just glad they dont start the west coast games at 10:30 anymore like they did back in the 70’s and 80’s. Now that was really rough to try staying up for.
