I see ARod and Jeter were still in their seats late, makes me think they are like a reverse Mercury Morris and are rooting for the Celtics to nudge them from being the lone entry in the history books.

50 a half seems to be about what they can do. Throw out weird quarters like the fourth quarter last night and that really seems to be their upside.

Unfortunately, I'm not seeing them holding the Heat to 43 in the second half so I don't think 50 is going to be good enough.
Alternatively, the Heat will score exactly 43. :)

I’ll take it, but this team still feels irretrievably broken. Fingers crossed for Thursday.
I don’t know. They answered every Miami run instead of turtling. Tonight finally felt like they might have found a little something. Probably too little too late but that wasn’t a Miami up 3-0 foot off the gas win. It was the Celtics playing like the better team they are.

The Celtics should be flying in as many of the 2004 Sox as they can and sit them in the front row.

I know they have been shitty at home, but if the crowd believes they can pull this off and win the series, that energy will have a huge impact in game 5.

Feels like the Heat came back to earth a bit, they barely made the playoffs for a reason.
But, time will tell. Let's go Cs just get the win Thursday.

They should be sitting them on either side of Jeter and ARod.

8:30 on a Thursday that crowd is going to be drunk and rowdy. If the Celtics come out hot that atmosphere is going to be wild. Fueled by 2004, 28-3, and Bud Light. I’d love to see how Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin shoot as the pressure mounts.

Celtics need to get the Millar video on the Jumbotron.

Papi and Millar would do it.

Fuck that. They should find every old Celt still alive from championship teams and honor them. Cousey, Pierce, KG, Cowens, Bird, Max etc. That's DNA of this franchise, not David Ortiz.

Excellent post!!

Call me feckless, call me an eternal optimist, BUT I think the pressure is squarely on MIAMI now. The Celtics WERE dead and buried, and all they have to do now is win the next game. Hell I saw the flyers do it to the bruins, the red Sox do it to the Yankees, and now? Boston will be known as the lazarus's of sports

Our problem is we have zero margin of error.

On the plus side this is one of the misleading series scores in the history of sports.
