Tuukka might've coughed up Game 1, but he more than made up for it tonight.
I feel like this team always needs some sort of scare in the 1st round to get going. Maybe that was Game 3, because they woke the hell up in OT there and have been pretty great since. Even though they didn't have a ton of possession tonight, I felt like they forced the Caps to the perimeter and allowed Tuukka to see where the puck was coming from. You don't want the 1st line to have to carry the team all the time, but the fact that they can as they showed tonight is fucking great.

I know we had more trouble with the Isles but I do worry about ref shenanigans with the Pens. Plus home ice, for whatever that’s worth.

Still feels like there is at least one more gear they can hit. Getting some d-men healthy would help.
I think the original comment was the Pens/Isles going to multiple OTs over their next three games.
I think he’s an Islander fan. They already have one 4-3 OT win in the bank. Two more and they advance. At least I think that’s what he meant.
If by "fan" you mean I would like to see the Isles advance then yes, absolutely -- and aside from that you are a smart man. Unfortunately I don't think any of this is going to help Mort.

But yeah, I'm all for three intensely physical, hard fought OT games the rest of the way with the Islanders coming out limping. A full Garden with home ice would be nice.
After I had a good night's sleep and the booze wore off, I've had a chance to reflect on last night's victory. As I think about it some more, fuck Tom Wilson.
