Quick funny story during the commercial break: Did you know Xander Bogaerts and Raffy Devers went to dinner the other night—they’re best friends, by the way—and, get this, XANDER FORGOT HIS WALLET! He had to ask his buddy to pay. I mean, hey Bogie, there’s easier ways to get a free meal! Haw, haw, haw!

Sadly but fortunately I am blacked out for the Padres games. So I missed the klubbing of Kluber.

Seriously, Wacha might be on a HoF track if he had a second pitch as good as his changeup. Good golly.

(Obvious hyperbole, but still)

I don’t think bringing back neither of Nate or Wacha was a bad idea- they both had serious red flags that suggested a big downward slide was likely. I don’t think the Kluber experiment was a good idea but I think they needed a vet to hold down a spot while the Houck/Whitlock/Crawford/Winchowski situations developed (and they needed more time to develop)
