Getting up for work at 5:00 AM makes these west coast games impossible for me. I really wanted to watch this series, bummed that I missed the Sox taking the first two games. Here's hoping I get to see them bust out the broom this afternoon.

What is wrong with starting the weekend games at 1 pm Pacific time? Are you guys still asleep then?
This. The perception is that start times are placated to those on the west coast (yes, I know they aren't and TV is involved) despite the east coast having a higher population and a 1 or 2 hour shift would make a big difference in the east. Who didn't love those afternoon playoff games from the old Garden back in the day. Like tonight's Celtics' game, two east coast teams on a Sunday on TNT, what's wrong with a 6:30 start?...sorry for the derail. Sale has been awesome lately and having a accountable top 3 on the mound changes this whole season.

He’s getting the 9th. It’s why he’s here and what they’re paying him to do. You can’t staple him to the bullpen bench because he blew two games a week ago.
UNLEASH THE KIMB…..woops, wrong closer
This is fun. Like, I actually hate it but this is the shit that makes the game exciting to watch.
We survived Alfredo Aceves closing. We can survive this.
Water.

See? Y’all need to relax. Now I’m gonna go play Xbox while cheap beer and the satisfaction of victory keeps me warm.
My mother used to refer to people like you as "gluttons for punishment." Those of us who dislike unnecessary agita are tuning out when this guy comes in.

That's really bad. In real time it wasn't the amount of missed calls, but the egregiousness of them, and that backs up my thoughts. That's 6 pitches that were entirely inside the zone called balls, and 6 that were way outside the zone called strikes.

I tend to give ump the benefit of the doubt on borderline pitches, as long as they are consistent, but the strike zone last night was all over the place.

Hmmm interesting. I would have that that it would have been worse than 1.5%
