I don’t really know how to grapple with the fact that they looked so lackluster in the 1st three periods but had the pretty clear upper hand during the OTs.
That is how you earn the C! Im sure Bergy (or Chara) would act the same way...
I hope he's got a room on the ground floor or Samso is gonna get pushed out of a hotel room tonight.
They controlled the play in period 1.
But in the OTs I just think the Bruins are simply faster and are carrying around less weight than Washington. Washington is going to get gassed faster in any game the Bruins are not punished physically. Washington has to run the Blues playbook. Harder to pull off when everyone is sucking air in OT.
I wasn't the one, but I stood the entire rest of the game from this post on. You're all so very welcome.

Defenseman didn’t exactly bring glory to his name with his effort there either.

Missed a couple opportunities tonight, but wow this was also a puck luck night behind Rask. Must have been three shots under an inch from going in.
I wonder if the bigger, stronger team is getting a wee bit tired as these games go on.
There were only two penalties that could have possibly gotten called in OT:
-Bloody high stick

It was a miscommunication between the two or he / Samsonov didn’t see Smith. He took a wide angle which meant he was either going to wheel from behind the net or thought he was getting it up the boards. Hard to tell with only a couple replays.
