I dunno. I think if you have a high-end closer, you have to run him out there. If he got fucked up after a milestone win and can't deal, that's on him. Two in a row sucks, though. Dude's maybe untrustworthy.

I said this a few days ago when Martin pitched to the middle of thing order in the 8th but he is a better pitcher at this stage of their careers than Jansen & is the guy you'd rather have in actual high leverage spots... then Jansen went & proved me way righter than I ever wanted to be these last 2 days :/

Seems like just 72 hours ago we were celebrating a guy who had been with the club a couple months as our hero.

Just saw this. I'm not familiar with the quick pitch rules though.

I'm pretty sure the violations on Kenley have nothing to do with the clock counting down. He's coming set and ready to throw without the batter looking up. That's a quick-pitch violation. We've had a few in the minors.

Absolute brutal back two back gut punch losses.
(Cora with an all time idiotic decision. So painful)

Wasn’t everyone gaga over Kenley like two days ago?

Again we lose to a team that has been terrible all year because Cora wanted Jansen out there. We could get swept by the Cards now. How embarrassing.

There's only so much solace from an unexpectedly good start in a loss. Two in a row is bridge-year shit, and that the starters are geriatric is not good bridge-year shit.

If, as it appears, the ump had his clock all wrong, Red Sox should protest this game
