I think it was 2002 .. the Sox were really good for most of the year but collapsed in September … Duquette was trying to make a case for himself (which, IMO was a a pretty good one) with the new owners to continue as GM

Milner isn’t a fullback. I mean he can be but he can do everything. Not that great but he can cover all positions. And he’s basically a second coach with his leadership. I’ll miss him

Agreed … consummate pro , and still useful. Guessing Klopp would have wanted him back but his projected playing time would have been minimal.
