I've been pretty annoyed with AA lately too, it randomly disconnects in the same spot on the highway on the way to work every morning. It's the weirdest thing.
That's what was happening with my last car. It hasn't dropped once since I got my current vehicle.

So I'm pretty sure it is a signal issue in the area, but my current head unit can handle it whereas my previous one couldn't.

I'm a Pixel guy (going back to Nexus) ever since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (2012?). Since it switched to Pixel, I generally upgrade every other...but the pre-order deals on the 9 are almost too good to pass up in some cases if you are interested. I'm getting the Pixel 9 Pro XL, trading in my Pixel 8 Pro (getting $699) , Google One store credit ($100) and a bonus $200 store credit. So all said and done it will be $400 or so out of pocket, and $300 in Google Store credit which I will probably use to upgrade my Pixel buds or my Pixel watch (told you I was a Pixel guy!)

BTW, I love that this is still the '4g android phone megathread'

I’ve noticed recently that my old Android (Samsung) is adding stupid apps (mostly games) even though I haven’t chosen to download any new apps in the past month. I did download an app a month ago that adds time stamps and GPS info to photos I take as I needed to document some things for an environmental charity I work for. Is it possible that in the 400 page Agreement I didn’t read that I gave permission for ongoing downloads of garbage? I kind of like this app, but not so much that it’s worth getting filled up with useless crap that may be doing who knows what to my info.
