Full wishing.

I do think there's a chance he overreacted in the sense he broke that wrist last year and is afraid he did it again, but it will all be clear. I might look like a fool in an hour but the chance is there.

Mondesi is on the 60, he isn't coming up anytime soon.

The following question is not premised on a causal link between Duvall being out there in the bottom of the 9th of that game and the injury....

Should Cora be putting in a defensive replacement for Duvall in the 9th inning of a game when the Sox are up by 3 runs or less?

Do they have a better defense center fielder without movie Kiké off short? I don't think Tapia is an upgrade in center.

Kike is certainly the best defensive CF option, but I think Cora and company are fairly committed to not moving Kike around if they can avoid it. I agree that Tapia is probably not a significant upgrade if he's even an upgrade at all.

Talk about removing Duvall for defensive purposes in that spot reeks of hindsight because of the injury. No one would think twice about him being out there if the injury doesn't happen, and you can't protect against fluke things like that. He could just as easily had the same thing happen in the third inning as the ninth. It's a fluke thing. It's no one's fault.
