Miller was a horse again today. Also had a chat with Wilson during warm ups.

A few takeaways: 1) Swayman and Vlad both look to be good enough to be the future at goal at low cost; 2) we won despite the absolutely atrocious, incompetent if not criminal refs; 3) as regards point #2, the NHL is dangerously close to being the ice version of WWW. Its gotten so bad that one wonders about the legitimacy of the league.

Flyers lost in a shootout, Rangers lost in regulation. B’s 6 and 7 up on those teams with 2 games in hand.

.922 for Vladar and .947 for Swayman. We’ve needed them, things could’ve got off the rails with Rask and Halak unavailable but they’ve stood tall. 5-1-1 in games the rookies have started.

KMiller leading D ice time. 25:18.
Mostly due to SH, but that has to be as much as he's played in a long long time. Maybe ever in the nhl.

I wonder if that is a sign his knee(s) are healthy, or a sign we are working him too hard? Or maybe both...

If his knee is truly fucked, then the extra minutes in a particular game probably doesn't matter. They really really needed him and it's nice that he was able to step up.

Not gonna argue with a regulation win on the road against a team ahead of them in the standings, especially with McAvoy out and a rookie in net. I'm still skeptical of this team's chances, but maybe they can build on this.

At the very least there's optimism that they'll have quality goaltending in the post-Rask era.
