McGuire's bat is great, but he just might not be a major league catcher if teams can run on him like this.

I wonder if it's possible that this weakness fell totally under the radar as a prospect and earlier in his career because teams didn't run.

I don't know how Pivetta can ever throw a four-seamer without having a panic attack

Didn't he hurt his hand his last time out? May not be a factor, as I don't know if he's always been bad at throwing runners out.

McGuire had a rep as a good defensive catcher with framing and all. Maybe the new running game isn't the best for him

McGuire has a good arm and a good pop time. Most of the steals.this year have been the fault of the pitchers.

Raffy in cleanup slot is a big fail. Swinging out of his shoes at 3 straight; killed the rally.

Ghost town game thread! Not that there was a whole lot to say…
The reasons might be the Red Sox are in last place and already 9 games out of first place at the end of April. Not a great start, in fact a bad start. Also the Celtics and Bruins are having exciting playoffs,while the Patriots had the NFL draft.
