PawSox score four in the sixth, defeat the Bisons 6-3.

Jalen Beeks went 5 2/3 innings, yielding two runs on three hits and a walk while whiffing eleven. Beeks was strong through five – getting the first 11 in order before Danny Espinoza reached on an error in the 4th and then got three more in a row before a Gift Ngoepe walk. Beeks got the first two outs in the sixth before giving up his first three hits of the game, all singles, and was replaced by Kyle Martin. Martin got three outs, but gave up an unearned run on a single, a wild pitch, and two walks; striking out two. Bobby Poyner struck out two of the four men he faced and got out. Williams Jerez walked one in his otherwise clean ninth inning.

Mike Miller mashed three singles in four match-ups. Ivan De Jesus drilled two singles and a double in five at-bats. Ramon Flores flipped a pair of singles in five forays. Mike Ohlman obtained a double, a walk, and a sacrifice fly in five ups. Jordan Betts belted a three-RBI double and drew a walk in five jaunts. Aneury Tavarez took a free pass and lined a single in five attempts. Rusney Castillo contributed a single in five trips. Jeremy Barfield was bopped with a pitch amid four hitless treks. Chad De La Guerra struck out twice in four hitless appearances.

Jake Thompson tossed 86 pitches over 4 1/3 frames, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, four walks, and a hit by pitch; whiffing a septet. Algenis Martinez surrendered three runs on five hits – including moonshots from Kevonte Mitchell and Tyler Alamo – and two walks (one intentional) over 3 2/3 innings; striking out one. Joan Martinez had a perfect ninth inning with two outs coming by way of the K.

Kyri Washington and Chris Madera each whipped a single in three matchups. Brett Netzer and Bobby Dalbec each delivered a single in four at-bats. Trent Kemp, Ryan Scott, and Jerry Downs each had no luck in three jaunts. Roldani Baldwin and Santiago Espinal each went hitless in four excursions.

Jhonathan Diaz surrendered two runs on four hits – including a gopher ball to Wilkerman Garcia – two walks, and a hit by pitch over 4 2/3 frames; whiffing four. Alberto Franco allowed two runs on two hits – including another longball from Garcia – while striking out two in 2 1/3 innings. Lukas Young yielded three runs on three hits, a walk, and a hit by pitch in one inning and four batters. Dominic Lobrutto debuted with three consecutive outs, but did allow an inherited runner to score on a strikeout/double steal/error combination.

C.J. Chatham and Victor Acosta each clipped a pair of hits in four ventures; Acosta with two doubles, Chatham with one. Ricardo Cubillan contributed a walk in three trips. Cole Brannen and Isaias Lucena each earned a free pass in four appearances. Frankie Rios and Kervin Suarez combined for five strikeouts in their six hitless sessions. Marino Campana and Lorenzo Cedrola each had four frustrating forays; Campana whiffing thrice.
