I'm trying to figure out of Pittsburgh is getting the benefit of being allowed to be in tight and interfere as Salem's Lot is saying, or if the Bruins are just a touch behind on the aggressiveness.

Also does it look like Marchand/Pasta are fighting the puck a bit, or just the pressure on Pittsburg.

Edit: was just going to say that the Penguins are forechecking well. Damn goal.
I’m 100% confident that if the Bruins were grabbing and holding as much as Pittsburgh is doing we’d have been called 3-4 times already.

I’ve only seen this third period but the Bs are consistently beaten to every puck and losing most of the puck battles. Has it been like the all game?

They’re just standing still and waiting for someone to get open.

What the hell just happened? It was 5 on 1 in the defensive zone and the 1 Penguin drew a penalty.

Nice cherry on top to not blow down the offside with Crosby effectively trapping the puck in the corner.

Frustrating game and a shame to waste a great effort by Swayman. Still can't believe no call on the Lazar trip.

So predictably, the Rangers are kicking Buffalo’s ass. So when they do it again Tuesday night, the Bruins need a win or they will be in dog fight to just make the playoffs. Just fucking great.

Missed the 3rd, but took a quick glance at the numbers. Looks like it was the pre-deadline Bruins out there. All lines except the Bergeron line were negative today. 3rd and 4th lines especially need a genuine shakeup. Two of Ritchie, Coyle, Kuraly, or Wagner should get a night upstairs with Frederic and Studnicka filling in. Kampfer and Lauzon continue to be the weak links on the back end, but not sure how you remedy that until Carlo's back.

The Bs have two games left against each one of Buffalo and a reeling NJ team, and also two left against the Rangers. Win at least three-of-four against Buffalo and NJ and win one of the games against the Rangers and I think they're set. (And they may not even need to beat the Rangers given that the Rangers' last two games are against the B's.)

And in addition to the above games, the Bs still have a game against each of the Pens, Caps, and Isles to get points.

Closer than I'd like it too, but if the Bs can't stay ahead of the Rangers four points up (or five or six maybe if the Sabres come back tonight) and with two games in hand, then they have no business being in the playoffs anyway.
