Teddy Stankiewicz surrendered three runs on seven hits and four walks over six innings in his season debut; whiffing six. Josh Taylor walked two and whiffed two in the seventh. Jeremy Bleich struck out one in his PawSox debut, facing three batters in the eighth. Jennry Mejia gave up a hit and whiffed one in the ninth.

Rusney Castillo and Sam Travis each contributed two singles in four trips. Josh Tobias topped a single in three tries. Jantzen Witte and Gorkys Hernandez each garnered a single in four jaunts. Mike Miller, Josh Ockimey, and Bryce Brentz each took a base on balls in four matchups. Bryan Mata allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits, three hit by pitches, and two walks over four frames; whiffing five. Devon Fisher gave up one run on three hits, two walks, and a wild pitch over two innings; striking out a quartet. Eduard Bazardo walked one and whiffed three over the final three frames.

Marco Hernandez hit three singles in four matchups before being replaced by Jonathan Ortega, who struck out in the eighth. Jarren Duran dumped three singles in five jaunts; he was also picked off/caught stealing. Pedro Castellanos contributed two doubles and a walk in five plate appearances. Garrett Benge bopped a single and a bomb in four battles before giving way to Deiner Lopez who drew a walk. Ryan Fitzgerald flipped a single and a double in five forays. Angel Padron was touched for three runs (two earned) on six hits (one HR) and two walks over 2 2/3 innings on Tuesday; whiffing a trio. Oddanier Mosqueda allowed one run on two hits and a walk over 2 1/3 frames as the game continued on Wednesday; also striking out three. Yoan Aybar whiffed a quartet over two perfect innings. Rio Gomez gave up one hit and one walk while also striking out four over his two innings of work.

Triston Casas contributed two doubles in four contests. Cole Brannen bopped a single and a triple in five battles; he was also picked off/caught stealing. Korby Batesole knocked a single and took a base on balls in four appearances. Devlin Granberg, Jordan Wren, Marino Campana, Brandon Howlett, and Alan Marrero each had one hit in four at-bats; Campana and Marrero each with a long ball (Marrero was also caught stealing), Wren with a double and a stolen base, Howlett was picked off/caught stealing. Grant Williams was granted no bases, going 0-for-4.

Chris Machamer gave up two runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings; whiffing three. Logan Browning tossed two perfect innings to finish up the game.

Kole Cottam contributed a double and a hit by pitch in four contests. Triston Casas knocked a single and a sacrifice fly in four tries. Brandon Howlett and Jecorrah Arnold each had a hit in three at-bats; Howlett with a double. Good to see Marco Hernandez back playing.
He was activated by the Red Sox today and optioned:
"it's possible he resurfaces in Boston once he makes up for the lost time by playing regularly in the minors. Hernandez had gone 4-for-14 at the plate over his first four games with Salem and should gradually make his way to the Red Sox's higher-level affiliates."
