Game 22
The road trip had a rousing beginning.
(It made up for the Celtics not winning.)
No luck or magic, mojo or voodoo,
Just solid ball to beat up the Brew Crew.
Verdugo homered. Refsnyder pinched hit.
Yoshida and Jarren chipped in a bit.
Nick got the win, and Winkowski, the hold,
Jansen, the save. (He has been good a gold.)
It seems the team’s on an upswing again.
Our record’s surged to 11 and 10.
There’s only 5 A.L. teams who’ve won more,
but sadly, the A.L. East houses 4.
Just keep on winning. That’s all we can do.
1 game at a time. Now let’s get game 2.

I refuse to use the stupid fucking corporate name attached to this stadium, so I will use the stupid fucking corporate name that was formerly attached to this stadium.

That current name is the WURST!
The venerable ballparks, like Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and, OK, throw in Dodger Stadium will hopefully never change names. However, the newer ones do. What should be called just Giants Stadium has been previously named Pacific Bell Park, SBC Park, and AT&T Park. Now, it's called Oracle Park. Ugh. I guess Oracle is making up for losing Oracle Arena when the Warriors moved across the bay to SF. The Warriors new arena is called Chase Center. Double ugh.

It’ll confuse some, but it should be called South Beach Park like Fenway, no?

I can’t believe people actually didn’t like it when Rem and DO would go off on their giggle fits. That video is classic. And now we have Obie who is as stiff as a board.

Sausage Attack!
My first game visiting Miller Park included this! i had a friend who pitched for the Pirates and we were doing a multi-city tour with them. It was crazy to see in person! We were staying in the hotel when the police came and arrested Randall Simon.! Wild times.

Not only is it easier to get to Miller from North Chicagoland but it also faster from much of it (Lake County and even some of northern Cook)
At least during weekdays

Wrigleyville is a pita to get to plus it also has Cubs fans (gross) and they have GA bleachers. Wtf amirite

I won't be able to watch, but Whitlock should be more on the 1B side of the rubber. That's where he was during his last start. The one against TB he was on the 3B side.

How much do they actually get for naming rights? And is it an annual pay, or one lump sum to cover like seven years or something?

$59 for four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and parking at Miller Park. $59 would barely cover the hot dogs at Fenway.

I said this about Adley Rutschman earlier this year but holy crap does Joey Weimer look like an early 90s baseball player.
