Duran's plate approach, in addition to his swing, much much improved so far

Man, I stepped away to walk the dog for about 15 minutes and the Sox put up a 6-spot!

My dog is a good luck charm!

Try it sometime. You just can't get much on it flipping it backhand.
(Without the benefit of TV) I seem to recall being taught that the backhand flip is preferable on shorter throws. Quicker release and easier for the receiver to track.

Oh, I agree. The contention was how much velocity you can get on it. Not a lot but it requires by far the least motion by the fielder.

Chang may not hit, but it's at least nice to have a SS that can play defense competently

Chang is very good defensively. Now, if he could only do some more hitting like that one game against the Angels.
He's kind of like Wong to me, where their defense almost makes up for their bat, but it's hard to score runs with two of those players in the lineup. Hopefully one of them starts hitting soon, as both have shown flashes of offensive ability.

Wong at least has the pedigree. Chang, not so much. He's pure filler to me until Story comes back.
