Nick Duron allowed all four Kannapolis runs over his four innings and two batters, giving up seven hits – including a Tyler Frost tater – two walks, a hit by pitch and a wild pitch while whiffing a trio. Marcos Lantigua lasted three innings, yielding a hit and a walk while striking out three. Alberto Franco walked one and K-ed one in the eighth.

Frankie Rios reached twice with two singles in four forays and also stole a base. Victor Acosta accumulated a hit, a hit by pitch, and a walk in four ventures. Cole Brannen and Michael Osinski each obtained a single in four matchups; Osinski adding a stolen base. Everlouis Lozada walked once in four excursions. Samuel Miranda struck out in each of his three sessions. Ramfis Berroa, Marino Campana, and Pedro Castellanos each collected four outs in their four times up.

Mike Shawaryn surrendered three runs on seven hits and two walks (one intentional) over six frames; striking out three. Trey Ball allowed two runs on three hits in two frames; whiffing five. Trevor Kelley gave up a single to start the ninth, but then picked up three outs – one K – for the save.

Cole Sturgeon stung two singles and drew a walk in five sessions. Tate Matheny and Luke Tendler each thumped a hit and took a walk in four matchups; Tendler with a bases-loaded double in the eighth which tied the game. Esteban Quiroz singled once and took a free pass in five excursions. Josh Tobias dropped a single and a sacrifice bunt in five jaunts. Jeremy Rivera ripped a single in four ups. Conrad Gregor reached base with a walk in three trips before being pinch hit for by Danny Mars who struck out in the eighth. Austin Rei reached with a walk in one of his four appearances. Bryan Mata was taken out after 85 pitches and 4 1/3 innings, yielding just a run on a hit, a wild pitch, four walks, and two hit by pitches; striking out five. Daniel Gonzalez also went 4 1/3 innings, surrendering two ninth-inning runs (one earned) while giving up six hits and whiffing six. Algenis Martinez came in for the final out of the game, striking out the one batter he faced.

Jerry Downs drove three hits – all but a triple – in five jaunts. Kyri Washington reached four times in five treks with a single, a double, a walk, and a hit by pitch; he was caught stealing once. Santiago Espinal swatted a single and a double and drew a walk in five excursions. Trent Kemp and Tyler Hill each had a single, a stolen base, and two walks in five trips. Brett Netzer and Jhon Nunez each notched a single and a walk in five attempts; Netzer being caught twice on the bases. Bobby Dalbec delivered a double in five at-bats. Steven Wright allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks in 2 2/3 innings; whiffing three and committing a balk. Josh Smith surrendered a run on two hits and a walk over 3 1/3 frames; striking out six. Robby Scott gave up a hit and struck out the side in the seventh. Kyle Martin walked one and whiffed a trio over two innings. Ryan Brasier gave up an intentional walk and also struck out three in his two innings.

Sam Travis thumped two singles and a double and drew a walk over five sessions. Mike Olt obtained the game-winning double (scoring ghost runner Ramon Flores) as well as a single in five matchups. Rusney Castillo contributed two singles in five trips. My apologies if this isn't substantive enough for a post, but wanted to say how happy I am that these threads are in the main board. In the past I've forgotten to check in on the minor league forum at times, and Cuzittt's summaries/updates are a great lifeline to the farm.
