I don't think I've ever seen a hitter robbed as much as Casas re: called third strikes that were not strikes.
Same on the next pitch -- he made a point of saying that he was calling the strike on the swing not the pitch even though the pitch was also a strike. Won't show up on the scorecard as a missed call, but sometimes they can't help themselves from reminding us when they are boiled ass.
Guess we were lucky the HPU was good last night, although Houck got so many swing and misses it was kinda moot.
SS is Hamilton's best position. Imagine putting him in a spot where he isn't as good

I guess I respect the effort of a catcher diving to first on a routine grounder that wasn't close?
The last time he was a dedicated starter was in '21 in A+ ball.
So I think he's in a different boat than Whitlock/Houck types.
Their offensive/baserunning efforts range from competent to truly head-scratching.
I just got back from the eye doctor and I believe I may not need glasses anymore. Not sure, but if so, does that mean I should PH for Bobby the next time he's in the lineup?
I head the Sox near-comeback in the car. Don't know about y'all, but I would appreciate their winning this game.
More than anything, these fans at Fenway who have sat through this game deserve a walkoff win. They really do.
