Hernandez hammered, Salem downed 9-5.

Boxscore

Darwinzon Hernandez could not find the plate in the top of the first inning, yielding five runs on a single, three walks, and a hit by pitch while only getting two outs – one by way of the K. Hildermaro Requena came into the game with the bases loaded and two outs with the Sox down by two, and immediately gave up a wild pitch and a single to unload the bases before getting a ground out to end the frame. Requena settled down over the next three innings – giving up two walks and no runs – before having difficulties in the fifth. In the fifth, Requena relinquished four runs on four singles and a walk, all the runs coming with two outs. In his 4 1/3 inning stint, Requena struck out a pair. Hunter Smith gave Salem hope for a comeback with four scoreless innings, giving up a single and striking out a trio.

Jhon Nunez doubled his Batting Average on the year with three singles in four trips; he was however picked off once. Bobby Dalbec bashed his fourth bomb of the year and took two free passes in four excursions. Jerry Downs, Ryan Scott, Trent Kemp, and Carlos Tovar each singled once in four jaunts. Santiago Espinal singled once in five sessions. Chris Madera and Tyler Hill each procured a walk in four matchups.
