They may have to consider swapping the Garretts at some point. Though Richards' command may make him a risky bet as a reliever.

That inning was destined to be torturous when he was squeezed on Sano, then Dalbec made an error (thought he should have just gone to 1st on that).

I don't think I've ever seen that call before.
I think the umps are sensitive to that after the Mets fiasco last week (or was that this week) where they won by having the batter stick his elbow into the strike zone.

Red Sox should petition the league to have all ABs against Richards start 3-2. It’s going to get there regardless might as well save the time.

Dalbec needs to adjust his early-count approach. Needs to be swinging at one of those two fastballs.

Maybe. But he was 0 for 7 yesterday. Who's pitching is the difference.
I've got to disagree on this one, ITP.

Arraez has a case to be *the* best contact hitter in the sport today (It's either him or Nick Madrigal, maybe David Fletcher). He posts out-of-zone contact numbers that are better than some good hitters' in-zone contact percentages.

He has a 3.3% swinging strike percentage, and an elite line drive percentage. He's not quite Tony Gwynn, but Tony Gwynn didn't face the pitchers Arraez has to deal with.
