Jalen Beeks surrendered three unearned runs in the first inning while giving up three single (one infield) and a walk in the first frame. The first inning began on a throwing error by Beeks and included a strikeout/reached on passed ball. Over his final three innings, Beeks gave up a double and another player reaching on an error. Jalen struck out eight in four innings. Brandon Workman struck out two in two innings. Ty Buttrey yielded an unearned run in the seventh thanks to a throwing error, two stolen bases, and another throwing error while trying to catch the runner at third. Buttrey gave up a double, a wild pitch, and a walk while striking out the side. Josh Smith gave up a hit and whiffed one in the eighth.

Sam Travis thumped a single and a double in four trips. Ivan De Jesus delivered a single in three jaunts. Mike Olt obtained a walk in three matchups. Ramon Flores finagled a free pass in four appearances. Mike Ohlman, Chad De La Guerra, and Jeremy Barfield each went hitless in three at-bats. Aneury Tavarez and Rusney Castillo each failed to reach in four treks.

Mike Shawaryn gave up two singles and a Tebow double over six scoreless frames, walking one and whiffing five. Daniel McGrath walked a pair and struck out two in two scoreless innings. Adam Lau picked up a 1-2-3 ninth to end the contest.

The highly intriguing Esteban Quiroz and slightly-less interesting Tate Matheny each had perfect afternoons at the dish; each picking up two singles and two walks; Matheny was caught stealing. Jeremy Rivera and Cole Sturgeon each stung a pair of singles in four at-bats; Sturgeon adding a walk. Luke Tendler laced a single in three trips before being lifted for Danny Mars, who grounded out in the eighth. Jordan Betts and Josh Tobias each topped a single in four jaunts. Austin Rei walked twice in four appearances. Conrad Gregor is still awaiting his first Sea Dog hit, striking out thrice in four chances.

Tanner Houck was hit up for three runs on five walks, a single, and homers by Troy Sieber and Abraham Toro over five frames; striking out a trio. Matt Gorst gave up two hits over two scoreless innings; whiffing one. Joan Martinez was charged with two runs on two doubles and a walk in the eighth; whiffing a pair and unleashing a wild pitch.

Trent Kemp doubled to begin the fifth, his only time reaching base in three treks. Nick Sciortino did not have an official at-bat, taking a free pass in all three times up. Kyri Washington was given two walks in four attempts. Bobby Dalbec also picked up a free pass amid three hitless at-bats. Carlos Tovar and Ryan Scott each failed to reach in three sessions. Chris Madera, Brett Netzer, and Tyler Hill each took the 0-for-4 collar.

Nick Duron delivered five competent innings, yielding a run on six singles while striking out a quartet. Brendan Nail gave up three runs on a single, a double, a walk, and a hit by pitch over two innings; whiffing a quintet. Devon Fisher walked one over the final two frames.

Frankie Rios ripped two singles and stole one base in three at-bats. Michael Osinski obtained a single and was hit by a pitch in four matchups. C.J. Chatham and Pedro Castellanos each collected a single in four attempts. Ramfis Berroa took a base on balls and was plunked in three trips; he also stole a base. Samuel Miranda dropped a sacrifice bunt in his three sessions.
