Pasta too, now that he has his 50
If Lauko's out, and I'm not sure that he is, I'm not sure that they can sit two forwards on Tuesday if Hall isn't good to go. (But I know nothing about the salary cap and what they can/can't do at this point with regard to calling up another player like McLaughlin from Providence.)

As cshea said, Lauko is fine, but my point isn't necessarily Tuesday specifically, just that it would be nice to pace Pasta down the stretch. He always seems to wear down during the playoffs, and MVP Pasta is pretty important to the Cup drive

I see. I agree -- he definitely needs some time off, no reason to play him all 9 remaining games.

The cap space is essentially fine, they have over $2 million in space at the moment. There will be some maneuvering if they want to activate Hall prior to the playoffs but they have Forbort ($3 million) and Foligno ($3.9 million) that can be put on LTIR to accomodate Hall. I don't think it's possible to activate both Hall and Foligno. Hall seems closer so I feel like there's a better chance we see him before the end of the regular season than Foligno.

The bigger hurdle is the stupid call up rule. NHL teams are only allowed 4 call ups between the deadline and end of the season. They can monkey around with injures to get emergency recalls up that don't count against the 4, but it's not like they can call up a taxi squad. Lauko went from an emergency recall to a regular one recently so the Bruins are down to 3 regular recalls. Steen was an emergency recall yesterday, likely due to Bergeron's illness.

Worlds End
I know they promised Wagner a few games down the stretch at the deadline-he was apparently part of a proposed trade to Nashville and Sweeney asked if he wanted to stay or go, and he chose to stay.

Fun game here in Raleigh. Pulling it out without 3/5 top players against the Bs kryptonite is nice. The Whalers nite is so stupid, just to sell merch. Most of these people couldnt tell you where the Whalers were from.
