Get off the tracks, Montreal. This Bruins train is showing no signs of stopping. Beat them into submission.

Big week.  Montreal and Chicago at home plus Washington-Philly on the road.  Get it off to a good start.
You might even say this is a must-win.

Well, Montreal IS more serious about winning the Cup. That's why Scrooge McJacobs and Pete "I couldn't build a winner in a video game league" Chiarelli didn't get Vanek.

I mean it's a home game.  They need to win this game because otherwise the previous 12 mean nothing, those were just soup cans.

On a slightly more serious note, if the Bruins get two points out of this game, Montreal is mathematically eliminated from winning the division.

But if Montreal is eliminated do they then become a soup can rendering a win meaningless?

Between here and everywhere.
Haggs was on T&R this morning and was acting all tough about some apparent twitter beef between him and Amalie Benjamin. He is a little boy in a fat mans body.

I saw that and put it in the last game thread but read it over and thought they were just joking so I edited it out. But after hearing him today it clearly wasn't meant as a joke so it's confirmed that he is an insecure, petty man.

Current status:
BOS points: 103 (11G left, 125 possible max))
TB Max Possible: 108 (86, 11g left)
MON Max Possible: 105 (85, 10g left)
PIT Max Possible: 119 (99, 11g left)

But honestly, I couldn't care less about that.  I just want the Bruins to keep playing the same good game that they are now.  Every player and every line and every pairing and both goalies are elevating their game, and this team proved with their game at PHO that they can take a punch and counter.

Neely and Chia are having a conference call for season ticket holders today. I'm going to CALL AND DEMAND SOME EXPLANATIONS

I'm not going to watch tonight, just like I didn't watch the last Montreal game.  I can't bear the pain of watching Vanek suit up for someone else and wonder what might have been.

That was brutal.

Nothing really interesting. I guess there's a UML defenseman that they really like and it sounds like they'll try to sign. I didn't catch the kid's name, but Chiarelli said he'll probably be the #1 NCAA free agent when Lowell's season ends. Chiarelli also sort of side stepped the "Will Iginla be back?" question for a bit, but then at the end he sort of conceded that it is "good chance" or something to that affect.

There was also the lady who said they didn't beat Chicago because Chicago didn't piss them off enough, and she was curious how they were. Going to rectify this problem if they got to the Finals again.

The best question was the guy who asked about the Bruins usage of advanced stats. Chiarelli said he thinks they're in the middle of the road compared to other NHL teams. They primarily use them to evaluate players at the pro level, but may dip into them for amateur scouting in the future.

Are we just trying to ratchet up the degree of difficulty tonight?
