Well, passing on 2-on-0's generally ends in a goal. Problem was it was 2 lefties.

It wasn't really a 2-on-0 though. The defender had gotten back into the passing lane and Smith was at a bad angle as a result. The second Marchand broke ahead, he should have been thinking of it as a breakaway.

Thornton with a really dumb penalty there.

Hmmm, may have looked worse in real time, want to see a replay. I actually was thinking interference, not holding.

Good stuff, Roy. This is a little extreme, but I've always been an advocate of pulling the goalie a lot earlier than the standard 1:00-1:30 left.

And they're down 2. It's an interesting strategy to say the least.

Chara probably should have put that one in from center.

Two Os, two Ns, no goals, two points and a playoff berth. Tremendous road win, this team is just putting on clinics right now.

And a side note, backup goalies must be hounding their agents to call Chiarelli in the offseason to get a chance to play in this system.

Pretty solid veteran move by Meszaros to shove the next off its moorings when things started to get dicey at the end of that game.

Dirty and awesome.

CHAD JOHNSON HATERZ REVEAL YOURSELVES!

Fuck you, he looks slow and goofy. I don't care if he keeps pucks out of the net, it's all about grace.

That was a tremendously fun game to watch. Roy has the Avs playing a really fast, high risk, high reward game and the Bs just stuffed them. This team is killing it.

I would say that Miller hits like a mini-Boychuk but I'm afraid he'd bury me and they'd never find the corpse. I nearly launched my daughter off my chest when he drilled that guy in the first.

Checking in from the game, not sure how it looks on TV but more B's fans than Avs fans as far as I can tell. Is this normal for road games? Haven't been in a while.

TONS of B's fans in the house last night. The only time the Avs fans ever chanted "Let's Go Avalanche" was AFTER B's fans had started up a "Let's Go Bruins" chant. Fun night.
