One thing I dislike about soccer. You’re at home playing a rivalry game and are completely content to waste time and do petty shit to get a tie. It’s patheticThere were about 45 seconds actually played on that 3 minutes, but only 7 extra seconds added on.
Well, if City win ito it's theirs, but there's 9 games to go.
Let me help you out with that.I can’t imagine the range of emotions an Everton fan goes through when they realize they have created an opening but ultimately realize who is on the ball
Just coming here after the game but at no point did Everton look overwhelmed IMO.Really just a matter of time for Liverpool Everton have looked overwhelmed and the striker can’t win any aerial battles against Matip and Van Dijk. They played same way against City but were able to occasionally relieve pressure
If Everton played every game like this they wouldn’t be “struggling “Liverpool losing the #1 spot because they can't beat a struggling Everton would be delicious.
Overall though Man City has been a better side than Liverpool who have been incredibly fortunate with referee decisions this season, probably gotten then 6-9 points just from that.
You know how all you Reds felt seeing Walcott in the Everton XI? That’s how I felt when Klopp burned his subs without bringing in Shqiri.Lallana? What did Shaq do to be so buried
And the wheel stops at THE WIND!!!! If you put your bet down in THE WIND go to the cashier and pick up your winnings!!Oh man, if this keeps up I can't wait to hear Klopp's excuses. Obviously it will be that the referee gave Everton everything and Liverpool nothing, but also... perhaps the grass was too long? Or maybe the sun too bright? He can't be expected to have his team score goals against an inferior opponent in these kinds of conditions,
I mean the ref hasn't given them a bogus penalty or the linesman allowed a blatantly offside goal, this is not what he signed up for.
I know it’s hard to prepare your team for wild, unfamiliar, unexpected weather conditions at a stadium 2500 feet away from the pitch you play on 40+ times a year. Sounds brutal.Speaking after the game, Klopp told Sky Sports that the weather conditions played a part in their disappointing performance.
He said: “ Very, very difficult game for different reasons against a wild opponent," Klopp told Sky Sports.
"I know people don’t like it when I say this – the wind came from all different directions, you saw that in a lot of situations.
"It didn’t help any football play, especially when the ball was in the air which it was a lot.
They improved a lot in the last 20 but to my eyes Evertons midfield had no options and between them and the defenders were taking to just hitting it long to get it out of their end. Much better in 2nd half though and it wouldn’t have been a crime if they had taken all 3. They created some really good chancesJust coming here after the game but at no point did Everton look overwhelmed IMO.
Creativity in midfield bern a big problem for Everton in its slump. Sigurdsson has been a passenger too often. Would rather they started Gomes over Schneiderlin but the latter played very well on Tuesday and was defensively solid today. At the least the Everton midfield put in a shift today. They challenged for every ball and the Reds front three did not get sprung that often. They improved a lot in the last 20 but to my eyes Evertons midfield had no options and between them and the defenders were taking to just hitting it long to get it out of their end.
