Don’t necessarily hate him shooting when he’s that wide open but he has to be better on catch and shoot wide open threes.
Yeah there’s really no answer to it besides that. Just needs to be average instead of awful. He finds the range very randomly so as long as it’s at the right time then we’re good.

To start the season they shot 40% from 3 and went 20-5. Since then they’ve shot league average, 36%. They’re missing about 4.5 points a game because of the lower shot rate. That’s pretty much the difference between a pretty good team and a championship one. I think 40% for the season would’ve been a record (aka unsustainable), but if their volume shooters could just get back a little bit to normal they’d be in much better shape (Tatum and Grant, looking at you).

So are they leaving Marcus open for threes because they don't respect him as an outside shooter?

Jaylen's got the worst three point shooting of the bunch. I know it's not the be all end all, but Smart's percentage on threes is better than Jaylen's for the year. They're getting 21 shots a game from three from Jaylen, Smart, and Tatum, and those three collectively are at around 34%. Not great.

Sean Grande is competent but utterly humorless, IMO. Not much fun or joy in his calls.

I actually like Grande, he's got a bit of a dry wit. He muttered "Jaylen forcing that one" after a bad shot.

Gobert is such a prick. Scal isn't seeing it, but Gobert pushed him in the side pretty intentionally

The quiet challenge works better than whining, huh? Hmmm.

I'm with Gorman...are people really "worried" about facing Miami in the playoffs? Fuck them. Butler is toast.
A fellow SoSHer's model would disagree with you. That said, I agree that Miami shouldn't concern the Celtics or their fans any more than other teams in the East. With their pedigree, front-office and coach, the Heat are always a risk to steal a game or series.

Grande trying to bait Scal into actually watching the play. Scal is either drunk or really that stupid

You don't intentionally push a guy while he's in the air! It's fucking dangerous! This is obvious! They gotta fire Scal's ass

Don’t think it was intentional, but seems pretty reckless.

Hit him in the face after the ball was through the hoop too. Super easy call, obvious flagrant.

This. Definitely not a flagrant 2 but I think that’s a flagrant 1 all day long. Can’t go into a guy when he’s vulnerable like that.
Yeah, right where I was at. Not sure why Scal thinks taking a guy’s legs out and spinning him with your legs gives you a Get out Jail Free card just because you do ‘t use your hands.

Yeah, Scal is just spreading this tough-guy "the NBA isn't as hard as it used to be" pablum he picked up like a venereal disease and he has to bring it up three times a night
